Status of Enhanced Security Measures

Thank you to all members of the community who have come together following recent threats against Cambridge Public Schools.
As of Thursday, December 10, police continue to provide enhanced visibility in the Amigos School, the Putnam Avenue Upper School/Kennedy-Longfellow building, and the Vassal Lane Upper School/Tobin Montessori building. Police officers are also making frequent patrols at all other school buildings during the course of the day. The investigation into the recent threats is proceeding forward and your patience is appreciated.
As was the case at the end of last week attendance has returned to normal. We continue to ask that all staff and students enter through the main door until further notice.
As always, we ask you to remain vigilant and report anything unusual to the Police Department by calling 911 for an emergency or 617.349.3300 for non-emergency messages. Again, we thank you for your continuing support.
