CRLS Theatre Fundraiser for Puerto Rico

improv graphicWe, the students of the department, school, and community, believe that we have the obligation to do our part to help in any way we can during this time of need in Puerto Rico. After the most recent Hurricane, flash floods and rainfall severely damaged houses and infrastructure, leaving 3.4 million people without power. Even now, two months after Hurricane Maria, much of the Island is still in a state of Emergency. In the context of our production of West Side Story and the Improv Club, the CRLS Theatre Company is proud to raise money for Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria’s devastating impact.

West Side Story encompasses Puerto Rico and the American melting-pot culture and highlights how we need to be there for each other in times of need. We must listen to one of the lessons of the story we tell. With your generous contributions, we hope to raise money to help hurricane victims in Puerto Rico. All donations will go the UNIDOS Fund, through the Hispanic Federation, to help the immediate and long-term recovery needs of Puerto Rican children, families and communities in distress. Please feel free to donate any amount you feel you can contribute to this important cause.
