Please be advised that
Sherman Street railroad crossing construction, announced last week, will have major impacts on traffic in North Cambridge starting tomorrow, September 5th, and lasting 1-2 weeks.
School buses throughout CPS may experience delays, because many of our buses cross the city over the course of the day. If you have not already done so, I highly recommend that you set up a Bus Tracker account for your student(s) -

This online tool uses GPS to track the location of our full-size school buses. (Unfortunately, it is not yet installed in mini-buses or vans). Please keep in mind that the system is not foolproof. Check the location at least 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time, and if it does not appear to be moving or is appearing in Somerville or Boston, do not rely on the system -- arrive early to the stop.
With only one full-time staff person in our Transportation office, please keep their phone line open except for emergencies. If you have a non-emergency concern, please contact your school.
We know this situation is very frustrating, and will do our best to keep you updated and informed. We greatly appreciate your patience, and apologize for the inconvenience this will likely cause.
