On Saturday, April 11, 2015 two students from CRLS, and four Cambridge Street Upper School scholars participated in the National History Day Competition. All of these students have been working very hard on their projects, especially in the last month to revise for the state competition.
Here are the results of the competition:
- Karolyn L.: Second place in the Senior Research Paper Category
- Alice J.; Second place in the Junior Research Paper Category
- Sam K. and Zev D.: First place in the Junior Group Documentary Category.
- Cameron C. from CRLS, and Sam K. and Zev D.: Special awards from the
National Archives at Boston for Outstanding use of Primary Sources.
All of these awards qualify them to go on to the National contest in Washington DC from June 14-18.
Congratulations to all of the students for representing Cambridge so honorably in this rigorous competition and a shout out to Barbara Weaver and Paula Feynman for their invaluable coaching and judging!
