Given the disparate end times of CPS schools this session is scheduled for two hours in order to allow educators and other staff to stop by the Media Cafe. Tailored Outreach to Communities of Color
To ensure this process is inclusive and representative of the demographics of our community, CPS has been working with the city’s Community Engagement Team (CET) on a number of outreach strategies that are tailored to meet the cultural needs of diverse communities, as follows:
- Three sessions have been organized specifically for immigrant parents, and hosted at Windsor Street Health Center, 812 Memorial Drive, and Fresh Pond Apartments.
- The Outreach Worker for the American Born Black Outreach Team (ABBOT) is conducting phone surveys to encourage families to attend their school-based sessions and to share the most important proposal details for families for family reactions, concerns, and questions.
