It’s October and We’re in Full Gear!
The kids are working hard and demonstrating the Wildcat Way’s core values of respect, responsibility, active learning, and citizenship. Ask your children if they have been earning Wildcat tickets. They are a fantastic group of kids and I love seeing them each day. Do you have school related concerns or questions? Please let me know and I will do my best to help: email or call 617.349-4865.

Registration

Kindergarten Sibling Registration
Save yourself a trip to the Family Resource Center! If you currently have a child in Kennedy-Longfellow, and also have a child that eligible for Kindergarten next year, you can register for kindergarten here at K-Lo. I have sent home a “Sibling Finder” worksheet. When you return this sheet to Nancy Wyse, we can start an easy process to get your little one all set for school. If you have any questions about this please contact Nancy by email or call 617.349.4865.

KLO

Are you Interested in Volunteering
at the School?

There are lots of ways to get involved! We are always looking for volunteers in the library to help out. Also, the Librarian is also looking for a few parents that will help set-up a book fair. In addition we have a few food programs (Weekend Backpack, K-Lo Market, and a new program we’re starting called “Take Home Tuesdays”). The teachers love readers and chaperones, too. You do need clearance to volunteer so ask your child’s teacher or the front office for a CORI form. We’d love your help! Please contact Nancy for more information at 617.349.4865.

Parking Reminder
It is essential that the bus lane remain clear at drop-off and pick-up times. This is for the safety of ALL the students in the school. If you need to wait for a child or enter the school, please find alternative parking. There are meters behind the field and Resident Parking spots all around. Don’t have a Cambridge Resident sticker? Getting one is easy and it allows you to park all over Cambridge! Just contact Traffic, Parking & Transportation Department at 617.349.4700 or online.

Also remember that parking lot in back of the school is for teachers and staff only. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter!
