Register for Kindergarten in January
Was your child born between September 1, 2010–March 31, 2012?
Your child can go to public school in September 2016!
Please register your child for Kindergarten during the month of January – this is when you will have the most choice in where your child will go to school. You may register late, but after January, you may not be able to choose a school
School Based Registration for Sibling Families: Don’t miss this opportunity – if you currently have an older child attending this school, you can receive “sibling preference” but only if you apply during the January lottery. To make the process easier, JK/K families are able to submit an application at C’port School, rather than at the Family Resource Center.
Download the application online by sending an email to [email protected] to get started, or request an application from Shirley via email [email protected], phone 617.349.6587 x111, or in person at school.
Sibling families are encouraged to complete the process in person at the C’port School by Wednesday, January 6, 2016. The process is also simplified for sibling families who register at the school level.

WIC Program
WIC is a health and nutrition program that can benefit many families living in Cambridge. WIC provides food and nutrition services to pregnant women, infants and children under 5 who meet income guidelines. Many families may be eligible but don’t realize it-especially working families. We have two offices in Cambridge, one at the Windsor Clinic building near Central Square. This office is open Mon 11-7:30, Tue 10-6:30 & Thur 8:30-5:00. The second office is in North Cambridge at 266 Rindge Ave. The North Cambridge office is open Wed 8:30-5 & Fri 8-4:30.
