Take Home Tuesday Meals!
Our Take Home Tuesday Meals are off the a great start! In January we expanded our vegetarian options, and we have more plans for February. We want to add some hearty soups to the menu to give you even more choices for you and your family.
Take Home Tuesday is another great collaboration between Kennedy-Longfellow and Food for Free. Food for Free collects prepared foods from area college dining commons. This food is frozen at the end of each day. We make complete meals for you and ALL the members of your family. They are healthy, frozen meals that you can have COMPLETELY FREE!
Give it a try next month! We will be handing out meals on Tuesday, February 9th. Please keep an eye out for the flyer or email.

Building Information
As most of you know, Putnam Ave. Upper School has moved into their permanent home! The building is amazing, and the students are very excited. They are now located at 100 Putnam Avenue and share some common spaces with the MLK School. If you would like to learn a bit more you can look at the “Welcome Home” story on the CPSD website (http://bit.ly/22lccLS). It’s a very exciting time for the middle school kids!
So what happens now in our building? We will have new neighbors on the third floor in February. The Cambridge Street Upper School (CSUS) will be housed on Spring Street while their building is renovated. They have already started some construction in the building to make some modifications in the Upper School space. Our administrators have been meeting regularly with the CSUS administration to ensure a smooth transition and a positive partnership. We will keep you posted with any updates about this transition!

Donations & Requests
A very generous parent donated many personal care items to the school. If you are interested in receiving any of them please contact Nancy Wyse ([email protected] or 617.349.4865). I will put together a care package for you!!
Do you have pants that your child has grown out of? Please consider donating them to our Nurse’s Office. We like to keep a supply of pants in all sizes (pre-K through 5th) just in case. Thanks.
Our Junior Kindergarteners are building an igloo in their block area. They need gallon milk jugs to complete it! If you have clean, empty milk containers, please send them in with your child. Our littlest friends would really appreciate it!
Finally, our 5th graders have organized a hat, scarf, and mitten tree in the K-Lo Main Office. We are accepting donations of new kids’ winter accessories. The donations go to keep K-Lo kids warm in the blustery weather or to Cradles to Crayons. Please help keep our kids (and others!) stay warm. There is still a lot of winter ahead.
