Be Screenwise
Information and resources to help us make healthy media choices for our children.

Be Screenwise
Know the recommendations:
To help kids make wise media choices, parents should monitor their child's media diet. Parents can make use of established ratings systems for shows, movies and games to avoid inappropriate content, such as violence, explicit sexual content or glorified tobacco and alcohol use.
–American Academy of Pediatrics

Bring Your Own Bag Ordinance
This ordinance is going into effect March 31, 2016. The ordinance prohibits the distribution of single-use plastic bags at checkout and aims to reduce the total number of single-use disposable bags consumed. Remember to bring your bag to avoid the mandatory 10¢ minimum charge on each checkout bag. Together we can protect the environment, advance solid waste reduction, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and protect waterways.
