Upper School Head Search Completed
Julie Craven has been appointed as the next Head of Rindge Avenue Upper Campus. Julie has been serving as interim head while Ralph Watson was out on medical leave. Ralph is returning to his leadership role on April 25. Ralph and Julie will be working together along with key members of central office upon his return to facilitate a smooth transition in leadership for the forthcoming year. Thank you to all the interview committee members who gave their time and thoughts to this important process, as well as all the families who came to listen to the candidates and share their feedback with the district leaders.
RAUC Staff Room is All Spruced Up!
A huge thank you to the wonderful folks who volunteered their time and talents to spruce up the staff room at RAUC. Here is a note from Alice Jarrard, who spearheaded the effort: “The teacher's lounge is clean and organized for the first time in many years, it's painted and looks much fresher, and the plants will grow.... On the FRAUC work team were the middle schoolers Emma Randall-Jarrard, Jessica and Nicole Sabatino, and the adults ended up being Michelle Sabatino, Kim Kaufmann, Michael Randall and myself, Alice Jarrard."
District Math Pathways
Lisa Scolaro, (CPS Coordinator for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) gave a presentation about district math pathways to Families of RAUC on Wednesday, April 6. She was accompanied by Eileen Gagnon, district math coach. You can find notes of the conversation on the Families of RAUC website.
