CSUS Community Meeting Unveils This Year’s Social Contract and Presents a Commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of 9/11
On Friday, Sept. 9th CSUS held its 2nd community meeting to unveil the social contract and to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
Annually scholars develop the school wide social contract. Scholars developed drafts for the social contract in advisories. Advisory representatives met with acting assistant principal Pratt and finalized a social contract to be endorsed by all CSUS scholars. The scholar representatives
(Keyah A., Clio B., Eliza C., Sam C., Leo K., Aidan P., and Amarah R.) presented the school wide social contract to the community meeting. Read this year's Social Contract >>
The 9/11 commemoration began with an overview of the details surrounding 9/11 and poetry and speeches read by seven 8th graders (Harlan A., Ella H., Tevin J., Leo K., Andrine P., Sophia P., and William Y.). It concluded with a moment of silence and the playing of the Taps by Ryan A., Jonah J., and Mr. Tripp playing Taps. It was a very moving ceremony and we are very proud of the scholar presentations.
