Reflections from Katie
As you may remember from my summer letter to all of you, I spent a lot of time this summer thinking about math in new and different ways. I explored puzzles and games, and thought about engaging with my own children about math in ways I hadn’t before. As the school year has been unfolding, I have been in many conversations with both children and adults about math, and our feelings about math. Hear more >>

Who Are the People
in Your Neighborhood?
Meet Cambridgeport's newest parent, Nicole Peguero!

How long have you been at Cambridgeport?

Two weeks. My daughter Dulce is in Katie’s class.

What is something people do not know about you?
I am afraid of snakes. I really hate snakes! If I see a snake- I’m OUT.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done?
I left home at 17 and had my own apartment.

What kind of animal would you be?
I think I would be a bird because I could fly anywhere. I would go everywhere...definitely Paris. It looks so beautiful.

What would your dream job be?
I wish I was a singer. I wish I was Young M.A or Nicki Minaj cause they have good money! Or Beyonce! I’d love to live in their shoes for a day.

rapunzel

BOOKS OF INTEREST
Rapunzel
By Rachel Isadora

Readers will love the vivid illustrations, be thrilled by the scary sorceress, and chime in with the familiar line "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair." An old European tale with a modern day twist.

FUN FACT
Our Special Educator, Mollie Manzi, is getting MARRIED on Nov. 12!
