International Potluck Fun!
On Thursday, October 27th, the entire Haggerty Community filled the gym and cafeteria for our annual International Potluck! We had a fabulous turnout! The food was delicious and plentiful! 15 countries were represented by specific country tables - thanks to those families who brought in clothing and artifacts and interactive exhibits! Thanks to Cambridge Youth Gamelon (funded by Friends of Haggerty ) for entertaining us with their music and dance and even hosting an instrumental "petting" zoo! Read more >>
Winter Clothing Exchange
We have had a very mild fall, but the temperature will begin to drop! In the next couple weeks I will put back up the winter clothing exchange in the main lobby. This is an opportunity to donate gently used winter clothes (jackets, mittens / gloves, snowpants, and boots) that your child has gotten to big to fit into. It is also a chance to take an item that your child may now need!
Begin to sort through your winter items, and I will send an email when it is set-up in the lobby.

Dear 2nd grade families,
Students have learned the new rhythm, half note. When we read it, we say “ta-a” and our rhythm fingers turn into a dive for the full two beats. Students can read with their hands and voices - ask them to show you!
(The song is Who’s That Tapping at the Window? Ask your child to sing it for you with rhythm fingers.)
Tech Bytes
By Mr. McGonegal
Well it's November already and all Haggerty technology systems are up and running and spinning like a top, thanks to our wonderful new technician Tenzin Jampa and to Allie Shiner, who filled in for me during family leave in September. It's good to be back! Here's a quick glimpse of what's happening in Haggerty Technology Classes >>
Bottle Cap Update
Thank you everyone who has brought in plastic bottle caps and lids! Unfortunately, we did not collect enough in time for the International Potluck, however, we will still be using them for a collaborative project at an event later in the year. Please keep them coming in! We will leave the big collection jar in the front lobby where you can drop them off. Thanks for your help!
