Spotlight on Liv Berger
Welcome Liv...Our new teaching assistant in room 206!

What roads led you to the Tobin Montessori School? I’m thrilled to have joined the Tobin Montessori Community! Before coming to the Tobin I was a Teaching Intern at another elementary school in Cambridge, and a Preschool teacher in Watertown before that. I’m currently a graduate student in Lesley University’s Elementary Education and Creative Arts in Learning program. I first learned about the Tobin from Lesley, and after visiting as well as meeting some of the teachers here, I knew it was the right fit for me!

When school is closed because of a snow storm, what do you like to do? I love snowstorms! I like to snuggle up with some hot chocolate and a good book or movie.

Who would you like to play you in a movie? I’d love for Liv Tyler to play me in a movie. We share a name, but I also really enjoy her work. It would be so much fun to be portrayed in a movie!

Which do you prefer: ocean or lake? This is a tough choice! I have to say that I prefer the ocean because of the salt air.

Favorite sports team? I’m not much of a sports fan-I’m still learning!

Coffee or tea? Definitely coffee!

Favorite flavor ice cream? Anything with chocolate and mix-ins. I especially love Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Therapy.

Recycle That Box
Did you know that the Recycle That box has been moved? It is now next to the City Sprouts Garden in the front of the school on the left side of the building. Thanks you so much for your donations!

The next FOC meeting has been set aside just for you! Stop by room 129 at 8AM on November 17. We have childcare and you will be able to check out Sign Up Genius (or something similar) to help you with managing volunteer opportunities.

COATS FOR KIDS 
So far we have collected more than 65 coats! You should be very proud of yourselves! The last day to donate is November 18th!
