Hanukkah Latkes
Tony's mom Emmy came to celebrate Hanukkah with room 286. Thanks, Emmy!
Forest Playscape
Do you know what Forest Playscape is? If you don't, please ask Room 283 students, and they happily tell you about it. Forest Playscape is located at Fresh Pond Reservation. The word playscape combines two words, play and landscape. There are logs to balance on and build with, tree stamps to jump on or sit and rest. This is what you do at Forest Playscape: you play with your friends and have fun!
With Gratitude
Here’s a letter of thanks from Mrs. Hilaire and her family and friends in Haiti. She can always count on the Tobin Community to come together and help when the need arises. A special thanks goes out to Lauraine Boconne and her son Henry who loaded up their car and brought ALL the donations over to the Spaulding Rehab for us. Thank you, Lauraine and Henry!
Hello everybody,
I wanted to thank everyone of the community of Tobin who answered the letter to help my country Haiti where many people there were helpless after the storm Matthew in October.
Sincere gratitude to Mary Frawley who took it to heart to contact everyone who didn't take time to react and to bring whatever they could to help. It was like an SOS, and you guys were so nice!
That was unbelievable!

A Message from Our School Nurse
Letters were sent earlier this week about students' annual vision and hearing screening next Tuesday and Wednesday, December 13th and 14th. This screening is part of a state-mandated program. All students will be screened. Sign the letter only if you do not want your child to have the screening, and return the letter to the health office. Feel free to call me if you have any questions about the screening.

City of Cambridge Speed Limit Reduced!
As of December 8th, the speed limit on City-owned streets in the City of Cambridge is reduced to 25 Miles Per Hour (MPH), unless otherwise posted. This is an important step towards improving the safety of everyone who lives, works and visits Cambridge, and is a significant component of the City’s Vision Zero Initiative. Learn more >>
