Back to the Future
Last week at our monthly School Advisory Council meeting, Jaime Frost conducted a data gathering protocol on behalf of our Superintendent, Dr. Kenneth Salim. Planet Earth
Room 283 students have been learning about our planet Earth. The Kindergarteners had used modeling clay to create models of Earth's inner structure and presented a lesson to their classmates. If you are curious about the four main layers of Earth, the crust, mantle, outer core, and inner core, come to our classroom to see the models on display!
Online Resources for Your Child
CPS has installed a new library catalog that is linked to all the subscription databases the schools use as well as audio and eBooks. Your 2-5th grade students (and older) can log into the catalog and get access to these resources. Come find out how to access these resources to use at home or anywhere else outside of school!
Host Families Needed
A small international camp that I’ve been camper, counselor and parent of campers for has a program to welcome kids from around the world to the U.S. I’m looking for families to host an international camper for 2 days/3 nights before their camp in NH or ME starts. 10-13 year olds will arrive Thurs. July 13 and leave Sun. July 16 in the morning. 13-17 year olds go to camp in ME and will arrive at Logan July 6 and leave for camp July 9. If you are interested please email me (Jessica Gillis) at [email protected] and I’ll give you more details. Please feel free to pass this to others who may be interested.
