Core Values: seek Unity!

This week is the launch of our third core value, seek Unity! The goal is to support students in identifying opportunities to seek unity and in thinking about how seeking unity can help both individuals and the community. In advisory, students will view and discuss a video of a middle school football team who made a decision to show a classmate he belonged. You can check out the video here: http://bit.ly/2lLzfj5

Students will also engage in a game of Impulse as a fun way of thinking about what unity can feel like. The plan is to do this as grade levels and then as a whole school--let’s hope the weather doesn’t throw a loop into our plans! After vacation, the School Spirit elective, led by Ms. Boadu, will build excitement for a Unity Week the first full week of March. Stay tuned for more on that after break!
