All-State Treble Chorus!
Avery, Grace, and Nathaniel auditioned and were accepted into the All-State Treble Chorus. They will perform with 200 children from across Massachusetts at the yearly Massachusetts Music Educators Association's Conference in Boston, MA. This will happen in early March. In addition, Avery auditioned and was accepted into National Children's Choir. Avery will join singers from across the United States at the yearly Organization of American Kodaly Educators' Conference in Philadelphia, PA in late March. Let's give these three musicians a round of applause for their tremendous accomplishments!

maker supplies

Thank You
A BIG thank you to all who have contributed recyclables to our STEAM Maker Program. Our students have been using the materials in a variety of ways in their classrooms, and will continue to do so! At this time, we have what we need and will stop collecting for now. Stay tuned as a need arises for materials again in the future.

She explained the significance of each item. She played Norooz song on the interactive board. Children wished each other happy new year. Children tasted few food items from Iran. They tried out ethnic costumes from her country. They all looked beautiful.

Location: Tobin/Vassal Lane auditorium, 197 Vassal Lane
Presented by: Vassal Lane Upper School and its feeder elementary schools - Graham & Parks, Tobin, and Haggerty

Are you considering giving your child a smart phone for the first time? Is your child is texting and engaging with their friends on social media? Are you concerned about how your child is affected by their 'online world'?

Join fellow parents of middle school/pre-middle school aged children for this highly engaging and down-to-earth seminar with child development specialist Joani Geltman. Learn about the introduction of personal technology and social networking to kids of this age. Parents will take away strategies and tools to manage, monitor and mentor their tweens as they navigate the world of social media for the first time.

Joani's seminar will highlight the following: Understand how the “emotional brain” of a tween gets “turned on” by social networking; Understand how the “Imaginary Audience” influences your tween’s performing on social media; Learn which apps are safe and unsafe; Learn strategies to monitor and set limits around phone and internet use; Learn how your own behavior with phones and computers can positively and negatively influence your tween.

Come at 6:30PM to enjoy light snacks and engage with fellow triad parents.
