Friends of Tobin
Four CH classes and four LE classes are learning with Dancing in the Schools again this year!
Friends of Tobin is proud to be supporting the Dance in the Schools program again this year for those teachers who choose to enroll their classes. Professional dance teaching artists are matched with classroom teachers based on schedules, age/grade, and standards/curriculum. Each classroom teacher collaborates with the dance teaching artist before, during and after visits to develop and nurture a program that integrates movement and dance with academic curriculum. Dance in the Schools funds 2-3 classroom sessions in all Cambridge Public School elementary classrooms that sign up. Seeing the benefits of the program, each year Tobin teachers enthusiastically request more time with their dance teaching artists at a cost of $45 per each additional session. Friends of Tobin thanks the generous community members who support quality programs such as this by contributing to the annual appeal and/or at the spring party.
