Amazing Artifacts Exhibition
Have you seen an amazing exhibition of various artifacts from Ancient Greece, Rome, and China in the hall? Max, Salah, Urbana, and Ekram, the Upper Elementary students, gave Room 283 students a tour of the exhibition and taught them about ancient civilizations.

Attention 3rd-5th Graders!

CitySprouts Garden Update
I hope you are well! At last, the snow has melted and the flowers are blooming. Students and teachers are also getting into the spring spirit:
––The Children's House students have prepared the soil for planting, explored our bare garden beds with their digging tools, and planted spinach and peas.
––The 5th grade students learned about the CitySprouts summer internship, in which they can grow, cook, and explore food systems. We currently have time available on Monday morning (8:45-9:45) and Wednesday morning (12:30-2) for garden lessons. If you are interested, I am available to plan after school on Wednesday and before school on Monday.

Thanks and see you in the garden!

Also, we'd love to see you at the Tobin Garden Party on April 20th. See details >>

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
The world is good-natured to people who are good-natured.

CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET!
Did you know our Tobin Montessori School earns money for every pound of textiles and books donated in the Recycle That bin located next to the City Sprouts Garden to the left of the front doors? All textiles, including clothing, single shoes, leather belts, purses, hats, linens, stuffed animals, and fabric scraps can go in the bin. You can even donate items that are torn, stained, broken or missing something. Just no dirty rags, nothing wet, nothing soiled, no carpets, no rugs, and no mildewed items. Textiles in good condition are reused and damaged textiles are turned into wiping rags or processed back into fibers that are remanufactured into paper, yarn, insulation, carpet padding, sound proofing, etc. Visit our Donate Your Stuff map of donation spots for more options (bit.ly/2oMbvPW), and learn more about a second life for textiles (smartasn.org).
