Wheelock Family Theatre
On Friday, May 5th Rooms 283 and 287 went to Wheelock Family Theatre to watch the performance of 'The Charlotte’s Web.' It was a great play! In addition, we also got a brief tour of the college by Ms. Sara Levine (volunteer in room 287) and got to spend some time in her biology lab. Thanks to all the chaperones who assisted us on this trip. We are grateful to Friends of Tobin (FoT) for funding for the tickets and Mr. Joseph Huber for taking care of the school bus costs. Here are some photos…
Poetry Awards
Congratulations to the winners of the Cambridge Public Library & Cambridge Tree Project 19th annual Poetry Awards from the Tobin Montessori School! This year we received nearly 1,600 entries-our most ever-making for a very tough competition! We congratulate everyone who entered their wonderful poems!
Change for Change
The Tobin Green Team, made up of 5th grade Planet Protectors and led by the "e" inc. educator, is starting a project they're calling "Change for Change". Students will be collecting spare change donations during morning arrivals and also leaving out a jar for collection during the day. All proceeds will be going an environmental cause of the Green Team's choosing, a few ideas are preserving an acre of Rainforest and sending the money to help animals. Please help the kids with this great cause, any change is appreciated!
Spring Concert!
Friday, June 9 | 8:15AM
Come celebrate the arrival of spring with our annual Spring Concert. The concert will feature kindergarten through fourth grade general music/chorus, fifth grade brass, wind and string students.
Three and four year olds will be attending the dress rehearsal so there will be enough seating for all the parents.
Please make sure your children wear concert white and black (white blouses or shirts, black pants or skirts).
Please leave in plenty of time to park the car!
There will be NO parking in front of the school.
Library News
The library has gotten some new bookcases for our younger students. They work so much better than regular shelves! We will get more over the summer thanks to Friends of Tobin and Mr. Huber splitting the cost.
On the Green Screen!
Upper El students are in the middle of production on their Ancient Civilization green screen video projects. Next week: editing! We are having so much fun!
