Estimadas familias,
Sinceramente,
Sarah Bartels-Marrero

Dear Families,
What a wonderful and busy week we had here at Amigos!
On Tuesday, our 7th graders performed at the Margarita Muñiz High School in Boston as part of the MSNG LNKS program. Our students participated in an intergenerational choral and performance piece and really represented Amigos.
On Wednesday, we had our last All School Assembly. We discussed the theme of farewell and took time to thank and honor staff and students who are moving on to new endeavors and adventures. Then, we had a Karaoke Sing Along after school during which both students and staff enjoyed taking a turn singing on stage.
On Thursday, everyone enjoyed Field Day. The weather was perfect and it was fun to see how our students came together at this event. A big thank you goes out to Ms. Greene, Mr. Kantlehner and all the teachers and parents who helped make this day a success.
On Friday, we had several breakfasts and presentations in different classes. We also practiced for 8th Grade Graduation and held our Recognition Ceremony. Our 8th graders will graduate on Monday at 2:30PM.
Today I would also like to recognize our 7th grade student, Siroun Johnson. Siroun won the Grand Prize in the Massachusetts State Science Fair for her project titled "Algorithm for Accurate Control of Low-cost Joint-based Robots”. We couldn’t be more proud of you Siroun!!
Next week, we have four days of school. Report cards and homeroom placements for next year will be sent home on the last day of school.
Have a great weekend and a wonderful summer vacation! Thank you for forming part of our community!
Sincerely,
Sarah Bartels-Marrero
