Reflections from Katie
As the days extend longer and longer, as sunlight keeps us out and about late into the evening, as the smell of grills and sunscreen waft by on every corner, many are looking forward to June 22nd, the last day of the 2016-2017 school year. In our culture, we have so many iconic images holding up summer vacation as beautiful and idyllic. To be sure, summer will bring much good. And at the same time, the transition into summer can be hard for our children. It may seem counter-intuitive. But any time routines are disrupted, no matter how much we may dislike these routines, we can be left feeling unsettled. Hear more from Katie >>

Who Are the People
in Your Neighborhood?
Meet Art Teacher Jeff Konigsberg!

How long have you been at C’port? About 3 years now.

What kind of animal would you be? I would be a bird because I love to fly. My favorite animals are buffalos and cats. When I went to Yellowstone in 1991 ( toured the USA) we heard a noise outside of our tent. I unzipped the tent and there was a buffalo! I heard the noise it was making and thought it sounded like the footsteps of doom - but it was just the buffalo eating stuff. I thought it was so cool! This VW car sized animal just hanging out there outside our tent.

What is something about you no one knows? Pretty much nothing because I talk all the time.

Other than teaching, what is your dream job? I would be a world traveler. I love different cultures and learning about how other people in other cultures live.
