Fire House Visit
On September 28, Room 283 students had an exciting filed trip to a Fire House located at 167 Lexington Ave in Cambridge. The students learned about firefighters' responsibilities and various equipment, a truck, a hose, a ladder, and others. Every student received a firefighter helmet! We would like to thank Aleksandra, Shane, Gary, Leland, Kerry, and Dong – the Room 283 parents who chaperoned for a field trip.

Rainforest Alliance
We are so proud of our 4th and 5th graders who raised about $200 last year. The students donated the money to the Rainforest Alliance who in turn were able to buy 106 acres of rain forest! Great job!
Welcome Back, Upper Elementary Students!
It looked like all the students had an amazing time this year at Thompson's Island! Be on the lookout for stories from our students about their adventures!
Back-to-School Breakfast!
The Welcome Families Breakfast in Room 283 was a big success! Our potluck breakfast gave parents an enjoyable opportunity to get to know classroom families and to create a close-knit community.
3-Year-Old Sibling Registration Time!
Do you have a child at home who will be 3 years old by August 31, 2018? If so, you need to register your child during the month of October. Mary Frawley will be happy to take the sibling registration forms for you through October 19th. Stop by the office for an application or you can download one online.
