Another great week has unfolded at CSUS! We are pleased with how well our scholars have engaged in their learning and our parents and caregivers have supported the school. TEAM CSUS is deeply immersed in weekly professional development focused on instruction, cultural proficiency and restorative practices. It is this collaborative effort that will help us sustain and improve upon last year’s success in academics, the arts, athletics, youth initiatives, and the MCAS.

All City Band Update
Today is the first day for All City Band, and tomorrow is the first day for 4th and 5th grade All City chorus. The All City Orchestra WILL NOT be starting today. They will begin in January. There is NO All City chorus for middle school students this year.

Audition for the CSUS Play
Now is your time to shine! Audition for the CSUS play, And a Child Shall Lead.
A play by Michael Slade. Auditions are being held on September 23 and
24th from 3 - 4:15PM or at lunch time in the Auditorium. No need to
bring anything but a great attitude. Performance information will be
provided at the audition.
8th Grade Girls Leadership Group
Councilor (and former Cambridge Mayor) Denise E. Simmons is recruiting applicants for an 8th Grade Girls Leadership Group! The monthly program, which will provide life and leadership skills to help guide participants on a path toward future success, is scheduled to kick off on October 2nd.
