Reflections from Katie, the Principal
If you were at School Home Partnership Night last week, you heard it directly from me. If not, you’ve probably heard it from students, or perhaps your neighbor down the street.  Cambridgeport teachers are no longer assigning nightly worksheets for homework. This shift has been mis-named by some a “no homework policy.” It is not a no homework policy. Author Visit!
Author BJ Novak is coming to read his new book at the Cambridgeport! You may know him from TV and movies, but did you know he is the author of a hilarious new children's book called The Book With No Pictures? Grades 1-3 will hear him on Friday, October, 3. An order form was sent home in case you would like to order a signed copy of his book; the cost is $19.00 (cash or check with check payable to Harvard Bookstore). If you need another form, let Liz the librarian or your student's teacher know. Happy reading!
