Pathways to Family Success
Helping Parents Help Their Children Succeed in School    
Do you have a child who is in Kindergarten to 3rd grade? Is English your second language? Do you live in Public Housing or have Section 8, or are on the waitlist for either of them? If you answered yes to all of these questions, then Pathways to Family Success could be for you! Pathways is a program that works with immigrant parents of school age children to better understand the U.S. school system, help support your children’s learning and connect to community resources to help you and your family succeed. For more info or to enroll contact Beth at 617.665.3827. Saturdays 10AM-12:30PM. North Cambridge Family Opera

AUDITIONS for the Spring 2015 production, Kids Court, will be held next weekend. Saturday & Sunday, 10/25 & 10/26,

MIT Science on Saturday
The next free Science on Saturday K-12 presentation on the MIT campus will be Optics on November 15th. This show will be presented by the MIT Society of Women Engineers, which has given a large number of K-12 presentations in the Cambridge area and has a lot of great on-stage demonstrations (and clear, simple, non-mathematical explanations) of waves, color, refraction, diffraction, polarization, etc. Student volunteers from the audience will be able to assist with the on-stage demonstrations. After the stage show, there will also be a number of hands-on activity tables where kids can do their own experiments with different aspects of optics. Join us at 10AM on the following Saturdays in MIT’s Kresge Auditorium, 48 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 20139. Cambridge Family Literacy Fun Day

Cambridge Children's Chorus
If you can’t go a day without singing Cambridge Children’s Chorus is the place for you! Grades 5-8. Inviting singers from Cambridge and surrounding towns. An exciting opportunity to learn to sing, drum, and read music while making new friends. $50 introductory cost for 1 semester through January for new members. Tuition financial assistance available. Chorus programs offered for 4-15 year olds. Weekly rehearsals on Tuesdays / 5:30-7PM. St. John the Evangelist parish hall, 2254 Mass Ave., No. Cambridge (near #77 MBTA bus stop). Cambridgeport School 9th Annual Make-a-Difference Day
Saturday, October 25
10AM - 3PM
 
We will be gathering at the school to paint, clean, fix, hang up shelves and art, and much more. All C'port families are invited. Any amount of time you spend - even a half hour - is appreciated.
