Honk!
At the Honk! Parade this year, Fresh Pond Creatures (and Ranger Jean Rogers of Fresh Pond Reservation) marched among brass bands and local community groups. All Cambridge families were welcome, but there was a strong showing of Tobin families, which started the tradition in 2012 with support from Friends of Tobin School.

Tobin Teachers at Nature's Classroom

Nature's Classroom
Some of our students and teachers recently went on an adventure to Nature's Classroom, a special place for learning about nature. A few of the students put together a lovely presentation that recaps their visit! See more >>

Pumpkin Carving

Dennis Bellach, Prahlad's father, helped room 283 students carve a pumpkin. The students decided that the pumpkin should have a funny or happy face, and Dennis did an excellent job carving it – thanks Dennis! Everybody is welcome to room 283 to look at the pumpkin!

Read Around the World

Read Around the World

Read Around the World is going strong. Check out the display in the hallway across from the gym – records of the books read are posted there along with progress of our way around the world! Books are worth 50 or 100 miles, and so far we have accumulated 1400 miles – we have a long way to go if we want to read enough to get all the way around (24,500 miles). Lots of books have been checked out – help your child remember to fill out a ticket to put on the wall. Books can be stories, folktales, non-fiction, informational, or biographies – just as long as there is some cultural aspect to the book. We will continue until International Night on Dec. 3rd.

Apple crisp

Apple-icious!

This week we tasted apples and graphed our results. We read apple poems. The highlight was making apple crisp, which we shared with parents at our parent breakfast on Friday. The children described the apple crisp as "good, super, delicious, sweet, yummy, crispy, and crunchy!"

SCHOOL SECURITY
In order for us to make sure our school is secure during the day, we ask you not to use the cafeteria doors during the day, unless there is an emergency. Also, if you see a door propped, please remove device being used, close the door, and notify Mr. Huber or Mrs. Mosman.
