navajo traditions

Navajo Traditions
Shelly Lowe, Colle's mother, came to teach us about Navajo traditions and life on an Arizona Navajo reservation where Colle's family is from. She showed us Colle’s cradleboard and a picture of Colle in it as an infant. The children were very intrigued to learn about the Navajo people.

vet visit

Vet Visit
Kelly Temple, Noah's mom, came to Room 283 to talk to the students about her job as a veterinarian. The students learned how to take care of animals, especially pets. Kelly donated various medical supplies so we could open a vet clinic in the classroom. Thank you Kelly for your wonderful presentation! 


language day

Amharic Language Day
Last week we celebrated Amharic Language Day. A few families came came by the office to help say the Tobin School Pledge in Amharic!
