Reflections from Katie
I have often felt that a major challenge facing our Cambridgeport School Council is that it is a body that is supposed to advise the principal and yet very few voices are actually present to do this. I have been considering ways to get more voices into the conversations at School Council meetings, and so the most recent effort was to create a survey for families about the upcoming topic for School Council Meeting. Friday, December 20th is the last school day for 2017! There is NO SCHOOL during the week of December 25th-January 1st.

Tuesday, January 2nd: School re-opens

Thursday, January 18th is our School Wide Curriculum Celebration. Mark your calendars, because we hope to see most of you there!

How long have you been at Cambridgeport? 
Let’s see...is this my 4th year? Yes! This is my 4th year teaching at Cambridgeport.

What was the most adventurous thing you have done? 
I went white water rafting in the Grand Tetons. It was so frightening but fun.

Other than teaching, what would your dream job be?
I think I would love to be a fashion designer. I love to sew and I love colors.

What is your favorite TV show? 
It’s Parks and Recreation. I watch it over and over again, and I still laugh.

What book are you reading? 
I’m currently reading The Book Thief.

If you were an animal what kind would you be? 
Probably a cheetah because of how fast they run.

FREE Monthly Food Markets at Kennedy-Longfellow – Open to CPS Families
K-Lo MARKET is our monthly free food market. This innovative program is a collaboration between the Kennedy-Longfellow School and Food For Free. We stock the Activity Room with fresh, healthy foods for you and your family FOR NO COST!! We offer proteins, fruits and veggies, rice, beans, pasta, sauce, cereal, milk....you name it, we have it. All you have to do is bring grocery bags and SHOP FOR FREE! We want you to join us… The Market is generally the last Wednesday of the month from 2:30 - 4:30PM.
