Message from Principal Fernandez
Welcome back parents and caregivers,

We hope you had a restful and restorative break. We eagerly welcomed CSUS scholars back to the building this Tuesday, and began the day with a whole-school community meeting. After a long break and as we approach the halfway point of our school year, it felt important to come together as a school community to revisit and re establish commitments to our individual and collective hopes, dreams, and goals. Our scholars had the opportunity to reflect upon their year so far, and remember back to the goals they set this September. We asked scholars to remember their “Why” - their reason for getting out of bed, getting to school and trying their hardest. For some scholars, their “Why” is a person or people, like a grandmother or their family. For others, their “Why” is an experience, a hope, or a dream, like the desire to be an engineer or the first in their family to go to college. We hope that all scholars can use their “why” to continue to motivate them to work their hardest and achieve at high levels. CSUS is excited for our upcoming scholar-led conferences at the end of this month as an opportunity for parents and caregivers to come together with scholars and teachers to celebrate scholars’ progress toward meeting their goals.
