Election Day Soup Sale Success
Thanks to all who helped make the Election Day Soup Sale a big success! We had so many wonderful and delicious food donations as well as 10 delicious soups! We would like to officially recognize Iggy's, who once again donated the bread for our sale! Thanks also to the parents/caregivers who donated their time to come help us sell at the stand! The voters were very appreciative, as were the hungry staff!

P.E. Corner
Kindergarten students have started a Traveling unit focusing on spatial awareness and body control. Traveling refers to how we move our bodies. Students use locomotor movements such as running, skipping, and galloping in the gym to travel. Spatial awareness involves identifying and moving within one’s personal space as well as in general space. Body control involves the consciousness of what one’s body is physically doing and the ability to move safely and respectfully throughout space with other children.

Do You Have a Younger Child Who is Ready for CPS?
If you have a younger child who was born between 9/1/2010 and 3/31/2011, or if they will be 5 yrs old by 8/31/2015, they are eligible for the JK/K lottery (and “sibling preference” if one of your other children is at Haggerty in grades JK-4). Applications can be submitted to me here at Haggerty. Please look in backpack express for the sibling finder form, or please contact Lissa and let her know you have a younger sibling who is ready for school! The deadline to complete these applications at Haggerty is January 9, 2015 – after this date you will need to complete the application process at the Family Resource Center (before January 31st!).
