Greetings from Julie Craven
Dear RAUC Families,
We start the second semester this week. The newsletter contains information on when to expect report cards. The end of the semester also brings a favorite treat for me: it is when our hallways come alive with the artwork that students have been creating during the semester. Ms. Lee supports all students in aiming high in their creative endeavors and the results are spectacular. Please enjoy these images of art in our hallways. Ask your student which style of art they worked on. And if you happen to be in the building, you are welcome to check them out, as they are much more beautiful in person!
Best,
Julie Craven, Head of School
Reminder: One Voice, One Sound Unity Concert on Thursday, February 1

–Dinner starts at 5:15PM in the cafeteria. (We supply the food, you just come and relax!)
–Concert students to the gym at 5:30PM.
–Audience members invited to be seated at 5:45PM.
–The concert should last about an hour.

Youth Leadership
Last Friday, Mr. McNulty and the RAUC 8th Grade Boys Group attended the Middlesex Partnership for Youth's YOU LEAD Conference at Nashoba Valley Technical HS in Westford, MA. RAUC students teamed up with other middle schools from the Middlesex County to discuss and share ways our communities can reinforce healthy decision making skills such as leadership, healthy relationships and violence prevention and substance abuse prevention. During the second half of the conference, the RAUC boys brainstormed and created an action plan to transfer and apply what they learned from the conference to our Cambridge learning community. Well done gentlemen!
