Message from Christen Sohn
Dear CSUS Parents and Caregivers,
We apologize for the lapse in Tuesday Take Home Communication, and appreciate your patience with us as we navigate this busy time of year. We hope you are keeping warm and keeping well, and have a good book set aside to read over February break!
As always, CSUS has lots to celebrate as well as lots to look forward to as we enter the second semester. Scholar-Led conferences were a huge success, as were our daytime and evening performances of “What’s Normal, Anyway?.” Thanks to all those that came to support our scholars! Read on >>

STEAM Night
On January 23rd, the CSUS community and 20+ Cambridge organizations came together for a night of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) exploration. A huge thank you to everyone who was part of the night, both behind the scenes and at the event. Scholars were able to engage in exciting activities such as learning about why a brown M&M is brown, making music using digital platforms, and the science behind making your own delicious ice cream. Scholars enjoyed talking to the activity providers and learning about how their passion for Legos, music, and even Oobleck led to rewarding careers in S.T.E.A.M. fields. Participants also enjoyed Bertucci’s pizza and raffle prizes, including CSUS gear, STEAM-related books, and puzzles and make your own Tin Can robots!
