Hour of Code
Students at the Baldwin School participated in the nationwide 'Hour of Code' initiative. The initiative introduces computer programming to students and encourages them to learn about computer programming. Mr. Beucler, Baldwin Technology teacher, worked with all grade levels doing different activities, opening minds to the possibilities of coding. Read more >>

Writing and the Common Core
In recent years, an important shift in writing instruction has occurred, in response to the standards outlined in the Common Core. The standards call for students to learn how to write three text types: Opinion/Persuasive, Informational/Explanatory, and Narrative. Students do other types of writing, such as poetry, but these three main types are emphasized. Read more >>
