Book Fair Wrap-Up
This year's Book Fair was a huge success. We sold almost $9,000 worth of books! That is a profit for the school library of $1,500 – woo hoo!! I was able to buy 100 new books for the library (a retail value of $1,047.28) for only $628.55 with the discount I was given, which leaves a nice amount of money to use on the new spring books that are coming out. Also I have noticed some real holes in our non-fiction collection that I want to fill this spring.
This wouldn't have happened without the help and dedication of the parent volunteers. So a big thank you goes out to: Brandy and Alexander Danner, Debbie Jamas, Carrie Voiland, Judy Bright, Johanna Fisher, Michelle Lougee, Erin Linthicum and Upper School parent MaryAnn Matyas. Also thanks to student Seth Kennedy and the Upper School students who helped wheel the racks from the truck in and out of the school.
Happy reading everyone!
