Recycle That
Have you noticed the Recycle That collection box on the side of the school? It is over on the right if you are facing the school. The bin not only collects books but clothing, too! So, if you are doing some Spring cleaning, please consider dropping off your donations in the collection box. The school receives a certain amount per pound and that money is used for summer camp scholarships.
Around Our School
Box Tops
A reminder to send in any clipped box tops with your child for the Spring submission. We are a Box Tops for Education school. Every coupon equals 10 cents for Tobin!
Library Book Collection
The Tobin library is accepting donations on a rolling basis. Do you have lightly used (or new) books that you have outgrown? Please send them in with your child or bring directly to Ms. Jessica in the library. And get ready for the annual book swap coming soon!
PLEASE..No parking in front of the school!
You can on the island side of the circle.
You CANNOT park on Vassal Lane where the NO PARKING signs are posted. These signs are posted on the odd side of Vassal Lane. The buses cannot get by, and the Cambridge Police will be enforcing the parking rules.

Summer Camp
It is not too soon to be thinking about summer camp! One fun camp is Cambridge Adventure Day Camp. It starts July 6th...and now's the time to sign up. Learn more: cambridgecamping.org.
Information about camps is available in the office or by contacting Mary Frawley at [email protected].
Love the Outdoors?
Looking to get outside into nature as the spring warm front continues? You can do that and help 4th and 5th graders get hands-on experience at Fresh Pond Reservation! This is a good opportunity for parents or grandparents (or anyone who likes the outdoors or drawing) with flexible schedules. “Art & Science in One” is a unique Cambridge School Volunteers (CSV)/Tobin Montessori School collaboration that needs adult volunteers to work one-to-one with 4th/5th grade students in a program combining nature education and visual art. It will take place on 8 Wednesdays (11:30AM-1:30PM) during the spring, beginning with a March 25 orientation. Volunteers will learn the elements of nature journaling from a drawing instructor who is also a professional science illustrator.
Interested volunteers are asked to contact CSV at [email protected] or 617.349.6794.
Kids Court
A few Tobin and VLUS families will be performing in North Cambridge Family Opera's Kids Court! Head over and show your support on: Mar. 21 at 7PM, Mar. 22 at 5PM, Mar. 28 at 3PM, Mar. 29 at 1PM. Learn more >>
