Successful Food Drive
Written by Bianca, Hurmann, and Zoey (3rd grade)
The food drive was February 23 - March 6. For the food drive the third grade was collecting and donating food to the food bank for people that don’t have enough food, or money to buy food. We collected about 100 cans or boxes of food. The 5th grade went to food bank and helped sort the food in categories, so the food bank could give it to the people in need. We encourage you to donate to the next food drive in 2016. Thank you!

From the School Nurse
Let's get excited about Dental Health! Your students will have an opportunity to have a free dental screening this spring. There will be a 20 minute education component, followed the next day with the screening. I will be scheduling your classes between April 28 and May 1. Look out for notices coming home in back packs. Families only need to return it if they do not want their child to have the dental screening.

Safe Routes to School Program
Do you want your children to be able to walk or bike to school safely? Do you want to save time and money by using your car less frequently? The City of Cambridge is developing a Safe Routes to School program to support and encourage students who would like to walk or bike to school. Help us learn your thoughts about children walking and biking to school in Cambridge by completing our survey. It will take about five minutes and we ask that you complete a survey for each of your children. Please fill out survey by April 30th online or download the survey.
