Safe Routes to School Program
Do you want your children to be able to walk or bike to school safely? Do you want to save time and money by using your car less frequently? The City of Cambridge is developing a Safe Routes to School program to support and encourage students who would like to walk or bike to school. Help us learn your thoughts about children walking and biking to school in Cambridge by completing our survey. It will take about five minutes and we ask that you complete a survey for each of your children. Please fill out survey by April 30th online or download the survey.

March on Washington 8th Grade Trip
We are now more than halfway towards our goal of raising $10,000 for the 8th Grade March on Washington trip in June. For the final push we have organized an opportunity for you to recognize your child’s graduation from the Rindge Avenue Upper Campus. The Class of 2015 is the first class to graduate having gone through all three grades, and together they will begin CRLS confident in their abilities to succeed at one of the best high schools in Massachusetts.

We hope you will celebrate your child’s accomplishment with a donation – in any amount – to honor your child’s graduation.  The donations collected for the class gift will support the end of year trip to Washington DC, and your donation enters your name for a chance to get a pillow of YOUR CHILD.

Checks should be made out to Families of RAUC and returned to the office before May 15 either in person or by mail: 70 Rindge Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.

We hope to display the Class of 2015 Quilt at the next all school event.

Thank You!
March on Washington Team

Math Programs

Get the most out of your Math Education!
Summer programs for current 5th-7th Graders
The CPS Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) department is offering three summer math programs for students who will be entering Grades 6-8 in September 2015.

  • Students entering Grades 6-7 may be interested in "Summer AMP Prep" -- a free morning math course that will help students build problem-solving skills.

  • Current 7th Graders who are excelling in "Grade Level Math" may wish to transfer into Accelerated Math for next year. Please speak with your child's math teacher to learn more, including about the summer "Bridge" program designed to help students make this transition.

  • Students who are significantly behind in math may be invited to participate in a third program, "Math 180." We will contact you if we think this might be a good option for your student.

Registration forms and further information are posted online.
