A Special Birthday Celebration!
On April 2nd, children from room 279 walked over to the Sancta Maria Facility on Concord Ave. to wish our friend Mrs. Turk a Happy Birthday! We presented our friend with birthday balloons, cake and Happy Birthday wishes!! We sang a few songs much to the delight of the Sancta Maria staff and our good friend Mrs. Turk.
For Assembly on April 7th, the 4th and 5th Graders performed excerpts from their Ballroom Dance experience this Spring with Ms. S. Then Room 206 presented an original song called "If I had 100" (see photo) with a slideshow featuring original student artwork. Each student also held their painting of their favorite thing, taking turns singing about it. "If I had 100 phones, I'd give one to everyone I know." "If I had 100 pounds of gold, I'd build a house out of it." "If I had 100 books, I'd read one every day." Finally, "If I had 100 Golden Beads, I'd trade it for a 100 squares." And, "If I had a hundred ten beads, I'd trade it for a 1,000 cube." Thank you Ballroom Dancers and Room 206 Students!
