pencilsBack to School Night: September 17th!
We want to take this opportunity to provide you with some information for the upcoming Back to School Night, which is scheduled for Monday, September 17, 2018. Our hope is that the structure of this event will accommodate the needs of all our families. As you will notice below, you have the option to attend session one or session two. Both sessions will relay the same information. If you have more than one child at the Tobin, this structure will allow you to attend both classroom presentations.

AGENDA - 9/17/18

Session 1
4:30 - 4:50 - Classroom Presentation Round 1
4:50 - 5:00 - Transition to Auditorium
5:00 - 5:20 - Admin. Presentation 1 in Auditorium
5:20 - 5:30 - Transition to Classrooms

Session 2
5:30 - 5:50 - Classroom Presentation Round 2
5:50 - 6:00 -Transition to Auditorium
6:00 - 6:20 - Admin. Presentation 2 in Auditorium

*ALL Specialists/Special Educators/Interventionists will be available for Q & A throughout the night

Here’s what you can expect to learn at Back to School Night:
–Classroom routines & expectations “A day in the life at Tobin.”
–Information from specialists - Art, Music, Gym, Library, Technology
–Roles and responsibilities of Tobin Special Educators, Interventionists & our School Adjustment Counselor
–Administrative goals and protocols for the 2018-2019 school year
–Opportunities for volunteering at Tobin

Please note: there is no childcare provided for this event. If you cannot make alternative arrangements for your children, we ask that your children (regardless of their age) remain with you at all times. Also – Session 1 occurs while after school is still in progress.

This is one of the most important events for parents/guardians to attend. As we say to your children, learning never ends – so even if you have been with us for years, there is always something new to learn about Tobin. We look forward to seeing all of you.

Sincerely,

Jaime & Joey

QUOTE OF THE WEEK
There's no "should" or "should not" when it comes to having feelings. They're part of who we are and their origins are beyond our control. When we can believe that, we may find it easier to make constructive choices about what to do with those feelings.
