Dear Families,
It is hard to believe it is already October! Teachers and students are getting into a routine and digging into the curriculum. We are also continuing to work on our school wide behavior expectations. The overarching guidelines for school behavior are 1. Respect yourself 2. Respect others and 3. Respect property. You can see our behavior matrix here and hanging throughout the building. Please take a moment to review these expectations with your child/ren.
This week I have received a few questions regarding whether or not students should accompany their parents to the Transformative Teaching sessions beginning on October 10. I checked with the program facilitators and they said this is not a program for students, only for adults. That said, we will have childcare available for any younger Amigos students. Please take a moment if you have yet to do so to read about the program and RSVP here if you can attend.
National School Lunch Week is October 15th – 19th! This is the first year Cambridge Public Schools will be participating, and we would love to show students there is ‘Lots 2 Luv’ about school meals! 30 million students enjoy healthy lunches every school day in the U.S. We will have lucky tray giveaways, cultural meals, and special guest servers that week. Show your love on Friday, October 19th with a heart-colored or –themed shirt, and earn a fun sticker! See you in the lunch line!
Sincerely,
Sarah Bartels-Marrero

Estimadas Familias,
Respétate a ti mismo 2.
Atentamente,
Sarah Bartels-Marrero
