 Cultural Night
Dear Friends,
International Night, renamed Multicultural Night, is coming soon (Wednesday, November 7) and we're looking forward to putting together another year of fantastic Activity Tables. Last year was absolutely amazing. So many Tobin parents and teachers commented positively on the number of volunteers manning Activity Tables and how moving it was to see such diverse cultures proudly shared.

National School Lunch Week
Last week we celebrated National School Lunch Week!
We had some very special guests serving up a hardy lunch of meatball subs with broccoli and carrots! We have a new found appreciation for ALL of the kitchen staff.... Boy, do they work hard!
 Cultural Day
We did things a little different this year.
We had a Cultural Day today and all the students in all the classrooms were given an assignment to interview someone in their family or to talk about where their ancestors came from.They could make
or bring a flag of their country and wear clothing that is typically worn in that country. When you join us for Cultural
Night on November 7th, you will be able
to enjoy what the students had to say.
We will have a video in the auditorium highlighting today's events.
Cradles to Crayons NEW Kids Pajama/Sock/Underwear Drive
November 11-16
The Tobin Montessori School will be sponsoring a NEW kid pajama, sock, and underwear drive.
All donations can be left in the donation box at the top of the ramp. All donations will be distributed by Cradles To Crayons. Check out their website www.cradlestocrayons.org to read more about this amazing organization.
Blue Bikes are Here!
Check out the installation of Blue Bikes.... A bike sharing program. You may have noticed them around the city and we are fortunate enough to have them right outside the school! Directions on how to use these bikes are listed on the payment kiosk. Enjoy!
Building Excitement
The Tobin Montessori/Vassal Lane Upper School Building is next in line for comprehensive renovation or reconstruction, following on the innovative capital projects at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. & Putnam Avenue Upper School campus, and at the soon-to-be-completed King Open and Cambridge Street Upper School campus. Cradles to Crayons NEW pajama, sock and underwear drive!
From November 1st to November 16th we will be collecting new kid size pajamas along with kids size socks and underwear. Be on the lookout for more information!
HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
Please do not send your child to school in their Halloween costume. As a school community, we do not celebrate this holiday BUT Community Schools has an amazing party after school! Be on the lookout for more information.
