Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Every year, each public school and school district in Massachusetts receives a report card. Just as your child’s report card shows how they are doing in different subjects, the school’s report card is designed to show families how our school is doing in different areas. A link to our school’s 2018 report card is available online.
The report card includes multiple measures of a school’s performance – more than just MCAS scores. It represents a new way of looking at school performance, by providing information on scholar achievement, teacher qualifications, scholar learning opportunities, and more.

Camp Night at CRLS
Next Wednesday night (March 6th) at 6:30PM, Summer Programs from the city will come together for Camp Night at CRLS - an event that has traditionally been more for K-5 childcare programs and camps, but now has a robust number of middle school providers there for families to meet and ask questions. They also give out brand new copies of the 2019 Summer Resource Guide to every family of a middle-schooler who attends, and can help problem solve with families looking for something specific or worried about cost, timelines, etc. This is the best one-stop-shop to meet providers for youth centers, internships, and all kinds of not-just-for-little-kid summer camps. Fuel Assistance Program
We may be a month away from spring but don’t expect to be done with heating your homes just yet! The weather is still cold and if you are a resident of Cambridge or Somerville, you could still apply to receive assistance with your primary heating costs. The Fuel Assistance Program is run by the City of Cambridge’s Department of Human Service Programs and is accepting applications until April 30th, 2019. Come to the Cambridge Winter Farmers Market at the Cambridge Community Center (5 Callender Street, Cambridge - a 10 minute walk from the Central Square T station). We've got a dynamite group of vendors, musicians, and other community groups assembled - with special visits from the New England Aquarium, Buy Nothing Cambridge, and much more. We also welcome SNAP and HIP shoppers by offering a match - spend $15 and get and additional $15 every week that you attend the market!
