Market Update
We have good news and bad news....

The good news is: The Tobin Free Market is the biggest Market in the city!!!! I am so proud of our dedicated volunteers and staff who help make the Market run like a well oiled machine! We served 130 people this past Tuesday and it is amazing to watch families, students and staff shopping together.

The bad news is: We do not have enough volunteers!

The Markets are on the second Tuesday of each month. We will have the same schedule next year. The next and last Market for this school year is on June 11th. The set up begins at 12:30PM in the cafeteria. The Market opens at 1:30PM and we are finished with the clean up around 2:30PM. Starting in the next school year, we will be doubling our food order in order to accommodate our needs. We really need more help!!!
Would you please consider helping us out? You could volunteer at the next Market to see if it is something you would like to commit to for the next school year. No experience is necessary! We will be happy to show you what to do!!!! Please let me know if you would to help us out at [email protected]

2nd Annual Reader Prom
June 15 | 7:30PM | Dilboy VFW, Davis Square
The Porter Square Books Foundation, who brought George O’Connor and Jerry Craft to speak to the students of the Cambridge Schools this year, is hosting their 2nd Annual Reader Prom. All the proceeds will go to the Foundation and will help us bring more events and books to the students of Cambridge. Dress up in your finest prom fashion and bring a copy of your favorite book as your date to donate to a local nonprofit. (It’s the only prom where you’re supposed to dump your date right away!) There will be free snacks and soft drinks, a cash bar, music, dancing, “after-prom” style games and activities, and, of course, “chaperones.” You’ll also be able to get a formal prom picture with your “date” from and a bookish corsage.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER BY MISTER ROGERS

There's an old Italian proverb: Qui va piano, va sano, va lentano. "The person who goes quietly, goes with health and goes far." Hurrying up and using a lot of shortcuts doesn't get us very far at all.
