Art Update
It's been a great year in the art room! Recently, many classes have been experimenting with unusual materials and techniques. We made galaxy paintings with watercolor and salt. I can't wait to blast off into next year with everyone! Have a great Summer and keep making art.

Step Up Day
In the Spring, we like for the students to get a chance to meet their teachers for the upcoming year and to see their new classrooms. It’s a “Step Up Day” and it’s scheduled for June 13th. Each student will get his/her teacher assignment for 2019/2020 and have a 45 minute classroom visit. Be sure to ask your child about how it went!

K107's Year of the Dinosaur
Room 107 had a wonderful year full of dinosaur exploration. They changed their room to resemble a real-life jungle/safari where dinosaurs could be found and where a very big volcano could erupt at any time. They always warned visitors to enter with caution into their Dinoland. Hear more >>

2nd Annual Reader Prom
June 15 | 7:30PM | Dilboy VFW, Davis Square
The Porter Square Books Foundation, who brought George O’Connor and Jerry Craft to speak to the students of the Cambridge Schools this year, is hosting their 2nd Annual Reader Prom. All the proceeds will go to the Foundation and will help us bring more events and books to the students of Cambridge. Dress up in your finest prom fashion and bring a copy of your favorite book as your date to donate to a local nonprofit. (It’s the only prom where you’re supposed to dump your date right away!) There will be free snacks and soft drinks, a cash bar, music, dancing, “after-prom” style games and activities, and, of course, “chaperones.” You’ll also be able to get a formal prom picture with your “date” from and a bookish corsage.
