Student Council Canned Food Drive
Student Council will be undertaking a Canned Food Drive for families in need during the Month of November. If you would like to donate non-perishable food items and snacks to CSUS we will be accepting them within our Main office! Please find a letter from our Student Council attached for more details.

Cross Country Championships
Come out and support CSUS at the Cross Country Championships being held this Thursday, November 7th at 3PM at Danehy Park.

Valente Library
The Valente Branch of the Cambridge Public Library is now open! They have a dedicated teen space for scholars to work on homework and all of their books for kids and teens are brand new. Please encourage your scholars to use the public library after school. They open at 10AM every weekday and stay open until 6PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and until 8PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. There will be a Community Celebration on November 20th from 1:30-5PM. It's a great activity to encourage for our early release afternoon! Learn more >>

CSUS Debate Team
The Cambridge Street Upper School Debate team is back! If your scholar is interested in joining the team please seek out Ms. Myers, and fill out a club brochure! The CSUS Debate team meets every Tuesday after school from 3:15 - 4:15PM within room 2060.

Apple Cider Pressing
All month long, CitySprouts has been at every elementary and middle school in Cambridge, pressing apple cider with students. Not only is making apple cider a fun, hands-on and delicious autumn activity, but it also is an opportunity for hands-on learning. Read on >>

Family Flu Clinic – Nov. 6th
People who live or work in Cambridge can receive a free seasonal flu shot at the Cambridge Public Health Department’s annual flu clinics. While there is no charge to the public for flu shots, people are encouraged to bring their health insurance cards with them to the clinics. The FluMist nasal spray will be available for children while supplies last. The high-dose flu vaccine for seniors will not be available. The Fall flu clinic will be held at Peabody/RAUC on Wednesday, November 6 from 5:30 to 7:30PM in the school gym. Registration ends 15 minutes before the clinic closes.

Exciting news: The City of Cambridge has launched a new program to help renters save energy - homeowners and landlords can also participate
The City of Cambridge has partnered with All in Energy, a Boston-based nonprofit, to help Cambridge renters, landlords and homeowners living in 1-4 unit buildings save energy and money at home. All In Energy helps residents sign up for no-cost home energy assessments through the Mass Save program, and supports renters and landlord's to work together to get building insulation and other efficiency upgrades.
