First Meeting of the CSUS Gender Sexuality Alliance
Wednesday, February 5th | 3 - 4:10PM
An extension of our Thursday 7/8 lunch group, students decided we should make an afternoon meeting available for those with other commitments as well as the fact that our lunch and recess time is quite brief. Already students have decided to make posters for classrooms to increase visibility for a very vulnerable population of students. Students also want to add a daily message to our school-wide morning announcements and possibly a dedicated column in this newsletter. Please be in touch with any questions or further information. Thank you families for all of your support for all of our students! Late bus available.

MIT Shine
We are MIT SHINE, a team of women MIT students looking to help young girls discover their passion for math. Our program is a once-weekly, 2.5 hour session on MIT's campus, during which the girls will dance, play games, and do math one-on-one with a mentor. The SHINE curriculum is flexible and designed to allow girls to work at a level that is appropriate and interesting for them. We have had extremely positive reviews from girls and parents alike, and we hope to grow SHINE even more in the coming semester.
