Flagway Team

Help support local middle schools students traveling to a National Math Tournament in Ohio 2020!

FlagwayThe Young People's Project's 4th Annual National Flagway Tournament is happening in 2020! We’d love for you to join us -- in person or in spirit -- in Mansfield, Ohio on May 15 where YPP students from Cambridge and across the country will come together to compete in the biggest game of Flagway ever!

We ask for your support this month to help realize our goal of a national league where students are celebrated for engaging in mathematics learning in their communities. Your donation today will support programming on the ground with Cambridge Public School 6th, 7th and 8th graders, as well qualifying teams' travel to the National Tournament in Ohio. Our goal for 2020 is to raise an additional $10,000 to support these efforts! Learn more >>

Healthy Snack of the Week

Dried apricots with a cheese stick.

MIT Shine
We are MIT SHINE, a team of women MIT students looking to help young girls discover their passion for math. Our program is a once-weekly, 2.5 hour session on MIT's campus, during which the girls will dance, play games, and do math one-on-one with a mentor. The SHINE curriculum is flexible and designed to allow girls to work at a level that is appropriate and interesting for them. We have had extremely positive reviews from girls and parents alike, and we hope to grow SHINE even more in the coming semester.
