The Mayor Proclaims May 1st as SCHOOL LUNCH HERO DAY!
 Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and Vice Mayor Alanna Mallon proclaim tomorrow as School Lunch Hero Day, in recognition of the work we put in each day, during the school year and during the pandemic. Many Cambridge students have come to depend on us for a warm meal and warm smile.

Continuing Education & Golden Spatula Awards TBD!
We plan on having a virtual Golden Spatula Award sometime in May! Be on the lookout for a video or link to a virtual award ceremony soon!
One of our goals for the rest of the school year and the upcoming year is to make sure every valued employee is prepared with knowledge of food service safety and sanitation. Besides the more intensive and rigorous Servsafe Food Manager certificate, Servsafe offers a Food Handler certificate program. This offers all individuals a chance to learn about cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.
We will be having part time staff members and those who are not Servsafe Food Manager certified complete this Food Handler certificate program in the following months. This will be an addition to our new hire orientation, so we have everyone with a basic understanding of food service knowledge. We will reach out to you once we have more details and a roll out plan.
